Hey just a quick question: What treats are appropriate for a 8 week old puppy. I'm getting a cocker spaniel and would like to know how I can treat him during potty training. Are there speacial treats u can buy, or can it be something simple like cheese?
    Thanks!

I think cheese or saussage would be good. Cut them to little cubes. :)

I used cheese for Karla at that age, but moved on to Coachies for puppies which she loves too (she's 11 weeks now). I can recommend following the lessons on here to teach them how to take the treat without grabbing/biting, and the clicker training. At 11 weeks we have done both of these and she comes to her name, knows sit and down and stay. We're using the clicker and treats for lead training too, which we started in the garden (because she hadn't had her vacinations). Today she had her first proper walk outside and she did very well because of all the work we'd done in the garden.

Good luck with your training and enjoy your pup.

    Pam
