Hi, My name is Dar and my dog is Dezi. She is a very gentle flat-coated retriever and a therapy dog. We visit schools, hospitals, and nursing homes on a regular basis, and attend special events when requested. We do magic shows as a way of introducing children to the safe way to approach a dog and its handler. We are always looking for new tricks, easy for both dog and owner to learn. Suggestions are welcome.

Oh neat!!! I like flat-coated retrievers, although I haven't known many of them. It's great that you and Dezi visit all of these people and help teach the proper way to approach dogs. =) Too many children get hurt or scared because they simply don't know how to approach a dog and its handler, and I'm sure what you do helps a lot! Welcome to DTA, and hope you find the site helpful!
