We don't live near the beach, but when we go on holiday, we usually go to one of the dutch islands. Jinx is always a lot whiter when we come back home and their coat is much softer.

Thats mud and sand in their fur, yes they had fun even though we all got soaked.

we are lucky we live not far from the beach, moors, woods, countryside and hills.

the only thing we have to be wary of is sheep in fields
