My Research Project For 2013!!

Argh super excited This year I have to do my proposal for my research project - prepare it and present it to the main tutors at our campus and then I have aaaalllll of next year to carry out my research, prepare my findings and then hand it in.

I'm going to be doing it on the effects of therapy dogs on hospital/rest home patients. I don't have all the details yet but I am super uber interested in therapy dogs and our tutor told us to do our research on something we were interested in.

So wish me luck!! And if you have ANY info, tips, advice, websties, books, other resources - please let me know! I would SO appreciate it.

i love this idea, great topic!!! wow!!

i bring Buddy to visit my paralyzed sister in a nursing home, and wow, does he bring everyone joy.
And when I give my sister a bag of treats to feed Buddy, this helps her eye-hand co-ordination, as well as her fine motor movements. She can barely work her own hands, but, she does not give up or get tired/frustrated, for Buddy, she sticks with it, and LOVES every minute of it, it does not seem like "work".
She laughs each and every time Buddy takes the treat...it IS cute to watch, he waits patiently, as if he knows, she will take a bit longer to get that treat over to him.

Other residents who can walk wander into my sister's room, to see Buddy, and she feels very popular, and gets to socialize a bit more, too.

and then, on the way out, all the other ppl clammor over Buddy, petting him and smiling, talking a lot, in very cheery way, who knows? maybe the best moment of their day.
