This is a 5th grade math problem. This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus
Each girl has 7 backpacks
In each backpack, there are 7 dogs
For every dog there are 7 puppies

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

I will post the answer in a few days.

Have Fun!!!

I 2nd that answer.. 10,990. That is a lot of legs. But I can't see why anyone would put 7 dogs and 49 puppies in a single backpack, that just seems wrong. Especially if the backpacks are small enough that a girl can have SEVEN of them.

even if the backpacks are in the bus and the dogs are in the backpacks, it doesn't say the puppies are with the dogs in the bus! (the puppies could be at home!)

There is no bus driver. The backpack, Dogs, and puppies are all in the bus. All dogs and puppies have 4 legs, and the girls have two. My problem I had with this is I over thought the problem too much like some of you, I had to write out the math problem in order to get the correct answer. TIP: read it carefully. THIS IS NOT A TRICK QUESTION!!!

enouph hints for now I will post the answer some time this weekend

I'd say 14 for the girls because dogs don't have legs but paws. But if the dogs do have paws it's 10990.
