Meet The... Cat?

Okay, this is completely off topic, but I wanted to share!

This is my newest addition to the family. He was abandoned when he was 20 days old with his brother at my aunt's vet clinic. I was originally planning to get an adult cat, but, I was there by chance.

His name is Holden Caulfield (I'm sticking to literary names ^o^) and he's a month and a half currently.

(The pic is from two weeks ago)

I plan on trick training him (YES I DO TRAIN EVERYTHING THAT MOVES) so if you have any ideas for cool kitty tricks, feel free to suggest! Also if you know anything about kitty socializing... or where I could read something about it... you'd be most welcome, as he is a biting/scratching machine. A friend is bringing his cat over some days so he learns how to plays with other cats.

cute!! I also just got a new cat and have started teaching him tricks. I find spin is a great first trick for cats, my other cat Tag caught on to it really quickly and so is my new one.

I am also cat-sitting my friend's cat right now (Emppu). They'll destroy the house, Winston and the two cats, lol. They play chase aaaall across the apartment hahaha.

So cute!!!! Good luck training him! In my experience, I found that dogs have a much longer attention span than cats, when it comes to training...:cautious: My cat wanted nothing to do with any kind of training, lol.

He's so cute!!!!!!!!!!! I taught my late cat Buddha to sit/stay and also sit pretty. Cat's do seem to have a very short attention span as a whole though.

Thanks! It'd be like training a really young puppy I guess haha.

Thanks n.n
What have you taught him so far bekah1001?
I'm trying to get him to do something basic like sit... I only got him to sit a couple times and haven't added a cue yet.

Very cute cat!

I've just started clicker training my cat. I've found that targeting works better than luring with him. He will obsess over the treat when I lure him not caring about anything else. When he targets the target stick, he is focusing more on me so he can get the tastey treat. :)

Awe ! So cute !! And I love the name.

I've taught my cats mostly to come when called and to sit, I find my cats were more responsive with these natural meat cat treats called 'the mighty lion" plus they were soft and small enough. I loved them.

For socializing with cats I'm not sure, for humans is a bit easier in understanding. Have fun ! Cats are so much fun to train honestly and they catch on sooooo fast !
