I swear the next dog I own I am using progressive reinforcement. I feel sorry for my dogs they weren't able to have proper training methods from the start.

Finally had time to read the article, it's excellent. Went to an amazing seminar with Steve and Jen White a couple years ago *(btw, if you ever get the opportunity, GO!!!) and he covered that very topic: police dogs being trained using clickers being every bit as effective as those being trained using aversives, and how he had proven/convinced his local police dept as such, and was working with them, the dogs/officers, etc. Here's hoping it takes off everywhere!
