A Rescue Love

Hi there ~ We have a 4 or maybe even 5 year old Golden, which we rescued a little over a year ago. He is a love and we can't help but think he came from a loving home. The rescue org. said he had been found wandering the streets. He's happiest when he is right alongside you. Unlike my husband's previous Goldens, he doesn't like to swim and when he does chase after a ball (or other toy) he prefers to play "keep away". I'd like to see if we can teach him some tricks, and quite possibly, maybe he could qualify as a therapy dogs.

Welcome, he's a beautiful boy.
First I would suggest you get a clicker if you don't have one. If you don't here is an introduction for how they work

LOL I have one who prefers the 'keep it's mine' with balls, LOL IF I can get him to go after it, his motto is 'you threw the ball you go fetch it' The other is soccer mad:LOL:
