Star new award category

I see lots of neat awards and maybe I missed the like on the site as I am still exploring. I have three awards I would like to suggest and nominate. If they don't make it I understand please don't think me presumptuous. Pick one word out that describes it maybe-I couldn't pick just one.

Szecsuani for a new award for inventive, superb, kind, generous contributions to my success in freestyle training. Collieman also needs a significant mention however this award is worded or if it's just a revered mention.

Shaktishiloh for excellence in purity, style, precision training. An award that I see going to people that train with kindness, extreme ingenuity, creativity, and have significant achievements.

Collieman for overall incredible breadth of knowledge, wonderful non-judgmental advice, superb blog, videos, dedication to training, training a difficult or fearful dog, and for his incredible generosity.

I have several more people to mention and thank that I will not forget in the future but I didn't want to get to carried away. Getting an award on this site made me feel so wonderful and I would love a chance to go above and beyond for a some people that helped and inspired me, and achieved some incredible feats of training in more than one area.

Even if you don't get an award you have my gratitude and the wagging tails of two Goldens doing swishy wags for you. Thanks. You all helped me through some hard times lately and rekindled my fire.

Aww....and Snooks definitely deserves another reward as well. Your sweet message to these members earns you hugs from myself, Mud, and the boys. ^^ Lol!

Hmm...for ShaktiShiloh, perhaps DTA's "Pick Trainer of the Month." It's hard to narrow all of those down to just one word.

Umm...for the others...um..."Snooks' Award of Excellence." Lol...no idea.

In general, Szecsuani could be nominated for either the Generosity Award or the Creativity Award(don't we have a creativity award???); ShaktiShiloh the Member of the Month Award or...something; CollieMan the Wisdom Award(lol, you've won that at least once, right CM?)...of course, these awards don't exactly cover everything you mentioned about them, but does kind of generalize their wonderful qualities.

Wisdom award? lol The way my belly is growing as I get older, I am starting to resemble a wise old Buddha.

Th fact that I am recognised above for giving 'non-judgemental' advice is more than enough for me. I try incredibly hard to be open to all avenues in terms of dog training, and I believe that both myself and my dog, Ellie, are much more enriched for it. That's all I need.

Ooh I like this one. But the name would probably have to change. How about the Positive Trainer Award, for people only using positive techniques?

I'd have to design a new medal, any ideas?

P.S. Anyone can request an award here.

Medal of Wisdom, that's what I was looking for...lol thanks CM, that's what I meant.

How about a general "You are GREAT!" Award for the members mentioned. LOL.

I like the idea of a positive training award for those teaching with only positive techniques. So my idea for the design is this, I think the medal should incorporate a plus sign for positivity.

What about a heart and a plus, for loving and positive training? Just my humble suggestion.

Oh boy! I don't even know what to say! That's so sweet Snooks! I haven't been around for a while and I just found this whole thread! Thank you SO, SO, SO much! You definitely deserve an award for kindness, sweetness and being a great friend and being an example of a wonderful trainer who's kind to both dogs AND people! You ROCK!

Big Hugs to you!

I love the hearts and plus idea too for positive training. It does my heart good to see great positive training since it's made such a huge difference in my life.

I just wanted to thank some of the people who have really helped and inspired me through the last few months. Hope I didn't create too much html work. Sometimes people don't stop and tell someone what a great thing they do or how much it has affected them. I resolved years ago after someone did that for me to be more proactive about it.

I am also really glad I found this site and am amazed at the creative uniqueness. The positive environment and such great suggestions and help have been great. Thanks again everyone, and esp to those I was thinking of but didn't mention because the list would have gone on & on! In a future nomination I will gettcha!

For Collieman it should be the W.A.G. award -- Wise, Aware and Generous. I've been very inspired by reading the posts that CM has written as well as watching the videoes. Actually the whole site and everyone on it has taught me a lot. I'm looking forward to training my new dog.
