You’ve seen your pet pawing, yipping and even barking in his sleep. Every time it happens you wonder if your faithful dog could be dreaming. We’d like to think that our beloved pets are able to enjoy the fun and mystery of dreams, but we’re not sure if the brains of dogs work the same way ours do. Do dogs dream? (more…)

Dog training has evolved through the centuries to arrive at the many dog professions and tricks of today. Hunting dogs hundreds of years ago were once trained in a similar way to the guide dogs of today and the cute dog down the street that knows so many tricks. Throughout its history, dog training has had its ups and downs, but with the latest versions of training effectively encouraging animals to become a loving and functioning part of society. (more…)

Dogs have 25 times more smell receptors than us humans do and can smell odors at concentrations that are 100 million times lower than what we can. This great sense of smell enables them to hunt very well in the wild. We all know that domesticated dogs get there food from their owners, but how do the dogs in the wild hunt for their food? (more…)
