Freestyle Move? Need Help

I haven't been on in a long time and not sure if this is the forum to post this in or not. I'm trying to teach my dog the SIDE PASS (from the FRONT position) so that she is facing me and with both move to the left or right together (her body maintaing the straight FRONT position). Does anyone have videos or links to videos that show how to teach it. One I saw showed pushing a treat into the dogs nose to get the dog to side step but my dog just twists around. Another I saw showed using a wooden dowel but my dog actually moves to far away from that.

P.S. Is there a specific forum/page for freestyle questions?
