There have been a couple of poems posted on the forum so I figured I'd make a thread for our favorite poems or ones that we've written.

I wrote this poem myself for my 16 year old family dog Chase. It's not really good.
    We’ve grown up together
When I was two, you were 8 weeks
    Michele brought you home
    I would pull you ears
    Sit on your back
    Fall onto of you
    But you never minded
I left my toddler years behind
And you left your puppy years
You would drag me down the stairs
Once you almost dragged me into a ditch
    I became a teenager
And you started to slow down
No more chasing sticks or cars
No more dragging me on walks
    Or running away
    Now I’m a young adult
    Your hips don’t corporate
Your back leg is really no use to you
You’ve lost a lot of weight
Your sight and hearing are leaving you
But you find it in you
To rump around like a puppy at times
Be reckless by jumping off the porch
Play with Missy for a minute or two
I know you have little time left here
I just want you to know you've been a great friend
and when your ready to go let me know
