Coughing After Running/rolling

I have an australian shepherd who is 11 (as of today, actually!) and who is dealing with some coughing.

After running around a lot or rolling, he usually coughs once or twice and makes a lot of noise doing so. We give him heart-worm medication so we know it is not that.

We will be taking him to the vets soon, but I'm really nervous as to what it could be. He's had allergies before so I am hoping it is just that (or age).

Welcome! Yes, by now, you've probably clicked on the link that Dogster posted for you, but, it'd be great idea to get that dog to a vet for an exam, as dogs should not be coughing.
I hope it is something minor and easy to fix. Keep us posted.
