Backstall Almost Finished

Awesome!!
Did you have an assistant to help you with this trick?
Yes someone helped me the first few times. I tried luring her on my back myself at first, but she would walk around me, or just put two paws up, or jump over me.
So a friend helped out.
We started with me all huddled up on the floor, making sure my back was straight and as leveled as possible. Then my friend picked Jinx up and put her on my back, rewarding for just standing there. Untill she was comfortable with being on my slippery, unstable back;)
Then she started luring Jinx to jump up on to my back and rewarding her.
Then she would lure Jinx to jump up, and I would reward. That's pretty hard, reaching up and trying to be stable enough not to let your dog fall:D
By this time we added the cue(up) and then I could call her up on my back, still with a lure(I would hold a treat over my shoulder/head.
And now we are slowly moving upwards.

A little advice: wear something thick, like a thick sweater or coat. I have had big scratches on my back and neck, from were Jinx tried to get grip:confused: At first she would jump up with a lot of speed causing her to slide forward into my neck. AUCH!!

My cue now is streching my arms out sideways and saying UP!
When I want her to jump off, I lower one of my shoulders a bit and say OFF.
